The iXBC Intelligent Barcode Tools for SAP are easy-to-use, trouble-free and versatile software solutions to print free scalable, uniform barcodes on any PCL and PostScript  printers from SAP applications:

iXBCserver and iXBCwin are revolutionary new, central software solutions for barcode printing on any laser printer directly from UNIX or Windows servers, respectively. 

iXBCdll for SAPlpd is designed for indirect client printing using Windows Client PCs on any Windows supported printers.                

iXBC is available for all platforms where the SAP R/3 or mySAP protocol is used, such as AIX, ALPHA-UNIX, HP-UX, SINUX, SOLARIS, Windows NT/2003 and all UNIX operating systems using PCL or Postscript laser printers.

Through iXBC, the barcode functionality is produced, via software, on the SAP server and is made available for all laser printers on the network.

iXBC adds the barcode to the picture without disrupting the original text or graphic. This way, the SAP standard is completely supported and it is SAP-release independent.

The size and other parameters of the barcode is handled completely through the SAP printer driver. The iXBC is also transparent for binary data.

The special correction technology (ATT - Anti Twist Technology) of the iXBC program compensates for raster and micro distortions of the laser printer by the small dimensionality and high density of the barcodes (for example, two dimensional barcodes). This ensures an excellent print and reliable readability.

On which type of printer can iXBC be used?

The iXBC filter program is compatible with all printers and plotters, independent of make and model, using:

• PCL versions 4, 5, 6 or higher
• Postscript versions 1, 2, 3 or higher

It also works in parallel with printers which have a built-in barcode functionality.

There is no need for extra hardware.

Which barcode types are supported?

The most widely used 1D and 2D barcode types, such as interleaved 2 of 5, Code39, Code128, Code128 Autoswitch, EAN-8 and EAN-13, PDF417, Data-Matrix and OCR-B are built in using the internationally accepted norms.

The iXBC software can be expanded with further barcode types (Symbologien) and can be easily customized by the user depending upon his needs, such as introduction of control characters, default values dependent on barcodes, etc

The selection of which barcode will be printed is governed by command line sequences just as it is done on printers with built-in barcode printing facilities.

iXBC prints barcodes which are:
